What’s in the bottles of olive oil you buy ?

Here’s the explanation… there are three types of olive oils:

  1. Blends of Olive Oils of All Qualities: These are the majority of industrial olive oils found in supermarkets (Puget, Carapelli & Co). Fine for cooking… nothing more!
  2. Blended Olive Oils: These are made from several different varieties of olives. Most of the oils from mills (AOC & Co) fall into this category. These oils are of higher quality, often interesting, but terribly standardized! The mixing of varieties smooths out the flavors and taste of the oil…
  3. Single-Variety Olive Oils: Made from just one variety of olive. These oils have character, flavor, and elegance in the mouth. You’re sure to find one or two that will win you over, and you’ll appreciate, more than ever, the pure fruit juice that is olive oil!

If you want to consume something good and healthy, forget about and leave the industrial olive oils on the shelf. Opt for a single-variety olive oil for its taste and subtlety on the palate.
We assure you, your body will thank you—and so will your taste buds!
